How to pin on your number
Here is the correct way to pin on your number for races with Hamilton Wheelers. We use a camera directly in line with the finish. This means you number must be clearly visible directly from side on.- Pin you number across your ribcage (not on your back) when leant over in a sprint position
- Make sure it's on the correct side - right side for normal direction Nundah, left side for most road courses and reverse crits
- Check to make sure the number isn't folded over
- You can angle the number so it's vertical when leant over
- Extra pins are available if you need to make it more 'aero'
- 'My mate did it for me' is not a good excuse!
- Don't forget to claim your places straight after the race
Can you read all these numbers?

Overall Results and Club Champions
CHAMPIONSHIP RULES
Separate categories were conducted for male and female riders in each HWCC grade division. Junior club championships are the exception as they are conducted in Age divisions for U9, U11, U13 and U15, U17. Male and Female riders start together but seperate points are awarded. U17 riders start with C grade but seperate points are awarded.
Riders remain in their grades for the whole championship unless absolutely necessary - if riders move up a grade they will carry half their points over.
Due to schedule constraints with COVID and poor weather Junior Jerseys were awarded based on the Criterium round only.
Club Championship Points
1st 10 + Gold Medal
2nd 6 + Silver Medal
3rd 4 + Bronze Medal
Start 1
Finish 1
Peform roster duty at Club Championship event 2pts
Commissaire at club Championship event 4 pts
A special Club Champion jersey is awarded to the rider in each category with the highest aggregate points and who has competed in all of the three club championship events. There must be more than one rider, in each championship event, in the category for a jersey to be awarded. In the event if a tie, the winner is determined by the greater number of highest places. If required after this the ITT time will decide the winner.

Hamilton Elite Team - QRTS Report 23/24 July 2022
Many thanks again to Joe Hughes Accounting for assisting the club with generous sponsorship of our HWCC Elite Team.
Stage 1 was a 95 km undulating windy course at Imbill where the average speed was 39.79 km/hr.
Stage 2 saw the race move to Kandanga with an TTT in the morning and a road race in the afternoon. The team performed well in the TTT coming 7 th overall down 1.55 to a very strong Tandem Co Team.
The afternoon road race was a VERY testing hilly affair of 94 km with the pack being decimated by the nature of the course and the strong front riders. Your team performed magnificently with Ren Bao Tsen being in the lead pack all day and finishing in 11 th place (st) as the eventual winner. Jordan Mann was 21 st Liam Farrell 29 th Ben Wilcox 31 st and Zack Wilson 35 th . This was a TOUGH day but your team performed very well and this experience will stand them in good stead for Round 3 the Battle on the Border.

Traffic Controllers Needed
For Road Race Permits on open roads, the club now requires accredited event traffic marshals - just normal club volunteers can easily be accredited.
So to conduct road races at our locations like Elimbah and Pine Dam, we need a pool of members (18 years +) who have undertaken the short, on-line accreditation course offered by the State Government.
To ensure we can keep racing, the club is asking for anyone with an interest in this activity and who would like to complete the course, to do so.
The links below provide information and access to the course which takes approx 30 minutes. The club, of course, will pay for any expenses incurred by any member. This would be a great contribution to the club in an ongoing capacity and be greatly appreciated. For more information, please contact Wayne (Willow) Wilson

Volunteer Roster - Nominate before your next race
This is a reminder for Hamilton Members about our Volunteering Roster.
All racing members (including riders who are members of more than one club) are required to assist with the running of a race just once per season (November through October). It's a great way to give something back to the sport and your club, and learn about what makes racing happen each week.
Our policy is that after racing twice, you must then nominate a date for assisting, otherwise your entry may be refused. We would like to avoid a situation where racing has to be cancelled or entries refunded or refused, so please jump on the website and nominate a date before your next race. You register via the website calendar, just find an event that requires volunteers and put down your name. The system will email you with reminders.
If you want to check, the members grading list has highlighted riders who need to nominate with the number of races you've done and your nominated date so use that to check.
