Club Championship
The Club Championships are held over three events, a Criterium, a Time Trial and a Road race.
(a) The Club Championship events are conducted in 3 events, Road Race, Time Trial and Criterium and in each of
the current club grades i.e. A Grade, B Grade etc. (January 2020) As such, they do not form part of the Winter
Aggregate point score, but are scored on the following basis in each of the three events.
Club Championship Points
1st 10 + Gold Medal
2nd 6 + Silver Medal
3rd 4 + Bronze Medal
Start 1
Finish 1
Peform roster duty at Club Championship event 2pts
Commissaire at club Championship event 4 pts (2018 AGM)
(b) A special “Champion's” jersey is awarded to the rider in each category with the highest aggregate points and
who has competed in all of the three club championship events. There must be more than one rider, in each
championship event, (Feb 2019) in the category for a jersey to be awarded. In the event if a tie, the winner is
determined by the greater number of highest places. If a deadlock on highest places exists, then the rider
with the fastest time in the ITT wins (Sept 2021)
Primary Club members only are eligible for Club Championship points.
Add On members may participate and may receive podium recognition only (June 2023)
Junior - Club Champion Jerseys
(c) U9 (mixed), B/G U11-U17: but must race in all three events. (July 2025)

James is a Hamilton life member, served as club president and rode well for the club for many years. He has been a long time supporter of junior riders in the club, donating prizes and equipment each year and encouraging junior participation. James was a bit under the weather today and wasn't present to award prizes, but always has a keen eye on our juniors and how they are going.

Lachlan Walters Fundraising

Lachie has recently been named in the ARA Australian Cycling Team to travel to Heusden-Zolder Velodrome in Belgium to compete in the 2026 UCI Junior Track World Championships in August 2026.
Lachie’s passion for road and track cycling started when he was 8 years old. Back then he looked up to the older kids wearing maroon and wanted to make the Queensland Team. When he made his first Queensland team at 13 years old, he decided his next goal was to represent Australia at Junior Track Worlds. He is now 18 and we are so proud of the huge amount of work and passion he has shown to achieve this.
Lachie has recently been training, racing and gaining experience in Belgium against international riders. He will be heading home in early June to prepare and give himself the best chance of success before heading back to Belgium in early August with the Australian team.
The World Championships is a self-funded trip so he’s setup a fundraising page with the Australian Sports Foundation. If you can help, then please click the link
https://asf.org.au/campaigns/lachlan-walters
Any help towards his campaign would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for supporting Lachie and follow his journey on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/lachlancycling/
