ALL RIDERS - Please note the conditions of our police permit as explained before every race by our commissaire which incude:
Participants shall keep as far as practicable to the left side of the roadway
No more than two abreast at any time unless passing another rider
Riders will not only be disqualified but we will lose access to conduct road racing if these conditions are not met at all times. Several warnings were issued today - don't be the rider that spoils it for everyone.

We had a computer failure and had to revert to using a mobile phone for timing, and we mistakenly awarded incorrect podiums for A & B Grade.
Apologies to Nathan Campbell and Robert Franklin in A grade, your 2nd & 3rd placings were swapped. In B grade 3rd place was Stuart McDonald, and not Steve Lewis. Apologies to both riders for the mix up.
We had planned to have our electronic timing system in place for this event but the RFID tags went missing in the post. Hopefully for the next event all will be working smoothly.

A huge thanks to Neil Jackson for donating prize money for the women’s events for today’s racing. A great event each year to remember HWCC member, Nicol Jackson who passed away from Motor Neurone Disease. Thank you to all who donated to the charity when you entered, you helped raise nearly $700 to support much needed research. Each event was hotly contested and every woman out there had a smile on their face when they finished. It was so awesome to see so many supporters coming out to cheer the 180 women and men, across the eight events for the morning. Congratulations to all who podiumed and thank you to everyone who participated. Thank you to everyone who helped organise and ran the day, especially the volunteers - we couldn’t have any race events without you.
