Here are the full results from the ITT at Closeburn. Thanks to all the officials and volunteers, especially Gary Alcorn for calculating all the times.
2012 Individual Time Trial Championship Results - revised. Times have been revised for:
10 Andy Patten (sorry Andy the revised time puts you outside the course record now)
12 Taylor Charlton
20 Brynley Abad
Thanks to all all volunteers today who worked together like a super record 11 groupset (ok like Di2
for shimano fans) which meant we had the results almost as soon as the last rider finished. Thanks to Gaz,
Terry, Laurie, Pete, Karen, the entire Dutton clan, Robert, Scott and Tim for various duties. Your help is greatly
appreciated by all

Handicap Road Race - Elimbah - Saturday 7th July 2012

This is how I saw it from the lead car. Soon after half way through the first lap after the turnaround, 2 riders got away over the hills on Powell Rd, getting up to 40 seconds ahead along Twin View Rd where there was a heavy and windy shower. 3km later it was down to 20 secs, and then by the turnaround at the end of lap one they had 10 seconds. Soon after the turnaround they were caught, the lead bunch now consisting of  around 12 riders.
The third group who left 4 minutes behind GO had caught the two leading groups and formed a strong group including  Paul Worrall and Brittany Dutton from the 2 min group. This group stayed together and looked like most were pulling turns. There were a few stragglers riding on their own and then 3 minutes behind was the 5th group (9 mins) and the combined chopping block and scratch group were 7 mins behind the leaders.
On the second lap there were a few more showers and windy conditions, at at the last turn around (46km mark) there were 2 riders 1m30 behind the lead pack of 12, then 8 riders mostly from the 9 minute group at 2 mins behind, a few solo riders or 2 together and then scratch/chopping block 5 minutes behind.
The first 4 all came from the strong group of 12, Paul and Brittany doing very well to finish strongly with them. The 9 minute group finished around 1m50s behind the winners with scratch arriving 3m14s with a fastest time by Gary Kristensen.

Total Riders 64
10 Sept Tour de Nundah

The teams racing organised by Kim Flesser was a big hit. A very strong and chilly headwind was blowing along the main straight making it very tough. In A grade a 3 man break consisting of James Hepburn and Nic from Jayco-2XU and John Murazak (QSM) got away early on and worked super hard to eventually lap the remaining riders. These riders sprinted for 4th and 5th and then were withdrawn to allow the 3 in the breakaway to sprint for the win with Nic narrowly beating John.
C grade was a very competitive and hard fought race with many attempted breakaways and riders yo-yoing off the back in the wind, but it all came down to a sprint finish.
B grade was similar with breakaways not lasting much more than a lap, being chased down by other teams and the wind slowing progress for a small group. Uni got both primes, the first one by a tyre from Matt Powell HPRW. A small group of 5 got away with only a few minutes remaining and just stayed away with Uni, Ascot and Data3 taking the top 3 slots.
Thanks again to Fless, the Nundah Festival for adding some prize money, and all the officials, volunteers and marshalls who put up with the cold windy conditions.

Here are the results, and I'll put up a short video compilation tomorrow.

ROUND 3

Round 3 of the 2011 HPRW Women's Series took place on Saturday August 20th with 29 women participating. Once
again winter turned on its best sunshine for us , but the windy conditions took away any of it's warmth. The
competition to take out the overall Series Win in many of grades made for some tough racing throughout the series -
and Saturday was no exception!!
Special thanks must go to Jim Collins from Aspley Bike Hub for their generous support in providing prizes for the
Series Winners in each grade, and also to members of Executive, Commissaires & Club Volunteers from Hamilton
Pine Rivers Wheelers for their support.
The feedback I have received from women who have participated has been encouraging and demonstrates that
this type of event is needed in the racing schedule to support women's racing and to act as a conduit for novice
women to experience the different disciples that competitive cycling has to offer.  Eighty-three (83) women riders
participated in the series of which ten (10) riders were new to the sport having purchased a 3 day racing licence
in order to compete. We trust that they enjoyed their time with us and we look forward to seeing them all at
future races!!
HPRW Congratulates the race winners & placegetters on the day and of course to the overall Series winners.
